The land of gnomes and fairies calls us
to visit the Emerald Island. This tour is about connections
with our high self and our mother earth through the places
the Ancients revered. There may also be an evening stop for
a pint of real Guinness.

ITINERARY:
Saturday, March 19th
Meet at JFK international airport. Overnight flight
to Ireland.
Sunday, March 20th
Arrive in Dublin and travel to the BoyneValley where
we stay in a 400 year old B&B. Then we explore the megalithic
site of Dowth. All megalithic sites in this valley were built
around 5,000 years ago.
Monday, March 21st
Visit New Grange and Knowth. The two most well known megalithic
centers in Ireland. At New Grange we will see how this huge
structure was built for marking the Solstices as well as a
ceremonial chamber. We will travel west to the Hill of Slane,
where St. Patrick lit his famous fire.
Tuesday, March 22nd
Then on to Trim Castle, which is the largest Anglo-Norman
castle in Ireland built in 1172. Continuing south we arrive
at the Hill of Tara. Tara was the seat of Kings who controlled
the Northern half of Ireland for many centuries. This is an
energetically powerful place. Travel to the north of Ireland
to the town of Buncrana. Supper at an Irish pub.
Wednesday, March 23rd
We travel to the ancient hill-fort site of Grianan Ailigh
,the Seat of the Sun. Underneath the hill of Ailigh there
are said to be underground passages connecting the hill top
with Scalp mountain which overlooks the Village of Fahan about
6 miles down the peninsula. This fort was the seat of power
for the Northern Oneill kings from the 5th to the 12th
Centuries. Then on to Beltany which is one of the best preserved
stone circles in Ireland surrounded by incredible panoramic
views.
Thursday, March 24th
We go to county Sligo and stay at the Oceanview Hotel at Strand
Hill. Then on to Queen Maeves Cairn found on Knocknarea
mountain. It was built in the Bronze Age and is believed to
contain a passage tomb.
Friday, March 25th
Visit 5,000-7,000 year old Carrowmore,the second largest megalithic
standing stone site in Europe. At Carrowmore we will each
have personal time to attune to the part of this place that
resonates with us.
Saturday, March 26th
We will head to county Clare and visit Quin Abbey. We will
also visit Craggaunowen a traditional place of Celtic culture
in Western Ireland. Here you can experience fairy energy.
Sunday, March 27th
We will view the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, steep 600+ foot
sheer rock cliffs rising out of the Atlantic. Then on to Dromoland
Castle.
Monday, March 28th
We will visit Bunratty Castle, which was built in the 15th
Century on the Shannon River. Enjoy time at the recreated
traditional village. Here we will find a carving depicting
Christ with his arm around Mary Magdelan.
Tuesday, March 29th
We will travel first to Cashel where we will find the Rock
of Cashel. Here we find the imposing ecclesiastical ruins
of the ancient castle of the kings of Munster. Then on to
Glendalough,
Wednesday, March 30th
Visit Glendalough, the Valley of the Two Lakes.
Glendalough is the most significant monastic site in Ireland
and it was established by St. Kevin in the 6th Century. We
will have free time to be in the monastery and to visit nearby
Irish shops.
Thursday, March 31st
Morning departure for Dublin and the airport for our
flight to New York.
